Angkor Wat is one of the 7 wonders of the world, and on arrival, you can clearly see why. The mere magnitude of the oldest religious monument is awe-inspiring. It was originally constructed as a Hindu temple dedicated to the god Vishnu for the Khmer Empire. Later it was gradually transformed into a Buddhist temple towards the end of the 12th century.
